Triple Play: Log Cabin
Triple Play: Log Cabin
Triple Play is a favorite tradition here at Missouri Star. Once a month, Jenny, Misty, and Natalie each demonstrate their own, unique spin on a favorite block, technique, or template. In this episode, the talented Doan ladies show off three fabulous new Log Cabin quilt patterns.
Natalie's Moonrise Log Cabin quilt features quarter log cabin blocks set on point. She uses precut 10" layer cakes from the shimmer-fabulous Firefly collection by Sarah Watts for Ruby Star Society.
Misty's Echo Star Log Cabin quilt is made with black and white jelly roll strips. Her fabric is Fleur Noire Rolie Polie by My Mind's Eye for Riley Blake. Misty uses two-color log cabin blocks like half square triangles to make one big star. Don't miss the backing fabric—it's "cheater cloth" yardage that looks just like pretty patchwork.
Jenny’s Cozy Cabin quilt is made with cute little houses at the center of log cabin blocks. Her fabric is the magical Tiny Beasts 10" Squares by Tula Pink for FreeSpirit Fabrics.
