Something changed

I had bought these pins previously, and just loved them. This latest purchase is disappointing. I know this sounds strange, but they are not sharp. I sew angel gowns of satin and tafetta. The blunt tip snags the fabric. I first thought I had a couple of bad ones, tossed those. But it kept happening. Maybe they will work on quilting cotton, so I will try there. But that is NOT why I bought them. Too expensive ($18.75) for such poor quality.

Just a note

Just to address Susan's 1-star rating. I have aqua top pins for quilting. They work great and say for Quilting on the card they come on. They also make a silk pin for fine work that she is talking about. The shaft is smaller for delicate fabric. I hope she reads this and tries those pins. I believe she would be happy. Just my 2-cents worth. These are great pins!

Easy to bend

This is the review for the magic pins that are pink. Bought these a couple of years ago and both myself and my quilting friend are always getting stabbed as these pins bend so easily. We’ve had to throw out many of them. For clarity, we are using these for pinning quilts on the long arm leaders. we have since converted to the zipper system on the alarm leaders, thinking if we were able to put the quilt on a table and pin to the zippers, we would be less likely to get stabbed. Not true. Very...

These are indeed magic!

I really like these pins. So easy to grip when you are pinning or removing them. Heat resistance is a plus.
