I love this pattern! The "simplicity" of the strip sewing and tube preparation made it very appealing to me. The wonky stars not so much so; I made them on the Roadblock pattern and found them challenging. After piecing the remaining blocks and deciding who I was gifting this quilt to, I wanted it to look as masculine as possible, and opted to change pieced blocks out for the stars. I used the left over pieces from the tube strips and scrapped up a 4-1/2 in block and 5-1/2 inch sashing in between the blocks. (I only had enough scrap for 10 blocks; not sure what I did with the rest of the pieces). I will definitely make this pattern again. Thanks Jenny for your ever, awesome instruction! Haven't fully decide yet but I think I'm going to put the Kaffe Tree Fungi fabric for the backing and the binding will be a wild teal oil slip fabric. This is ready for the long armer. Thanks MSQC for great products & instruction!
