This pattern was very easy, but doesn’t look like it when you finish. I used the whole layer cake plus a pack of charms. I made it a little scrappy, and much larger with a curved border. I highly recommend this pattern. Love it!

Blooming Stars takes the classic eight-pointed star and expands the block into a fabulous twelve-pointed star with the help of some ingenious piecing. And it's definitely simpler to create than it seems. Give it a try and be amazed! To begin you'll need one package of 10" print squares and one package of 10" background squares along with just over a yard each for the inner and outer border.
