Description
Pick up the perfect thread collection to accompany Tula's Pink's Unicorn Poop solid fabrics for FreeSpirit. Established in 1983, Aurifil is an accomplished Italian company based near Milano, with a years of experience producing superior quality cotton threads for professional and domestic quilters. Aurifil threads are made from long staple Egyptian Mako cotton.
Their 50 weight Mako cotton thread is the most popular and versatile thread for a reason. It's ideal for hand piecing and hand appliqué, especially when using the needle turn method. It's also perfect for machine appliqué when you want the fabric to be the feature rather than the thread. This lightweight thread practically melts into the fabric when you use straight, small zig zag, and blanket stitches.
50 wt . thread is fine and thin which is helpful in creating a very flat seam when machine piecing. It also works great for back tracking and heavy background design work.
Spool size: 220 yards
10 spools per pack.
