Holiday Quilt Patterns

Are you looking for holiday quilting patterns? You have come to the right place! We have gathered a plethora of holiday themed patterns for you to peruse. If you enjoy stitching for holiday celebrations, we can keep you sewing all year long!

Missouri Star offers more than a dozen Valentine's Day quilt patterns. Would you like to make the Hearts and Kisses Quilt for your sweetie? Like most Missouri Star patterns, it is available in printed form and as a heart quilt pattern download. Misty demonstrates the Hearts and Kisses Quilt in this Triple Play Tutorial. But if you don't want to make a quilt, you might prefer making the decorative Love Bench Pillow to grace your home. These are only two of the sweet patterns you could stitch up to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

The Lots O’ Luck Runner is an elegant pattern of interlocking rings in shades of green on white. The name suggests this runner is appropriate for St. Patrick’s Day, but it could be used for many other celebrations. Imagine this runner on a spring or summer table accented with fresh flowers and floral napkins. Now imagine it at Christmas complemented with red. Green is not just for St. Patrick’s Day! Also imagine this runner made in shades of blue for the meals shared during Hanukkah, Passover, Rosh Hashanah, and Yom Kippur. Imagine the rings in autumn colors for Thanksgiving. Or pink for Valentine’s Day or Easter. Beautiful–right? By the way, Misty hosted a Missouri Star Live tutorial for the Lots O’ Luck Runner to help you learn how to construct one of our most versatile holiday quilt patterns.

Summer is bookended by Memorial Day and Labor Day with Flag Day and the 4th of July in between. You might want to make a table runner, wall hanging, or quilted throw for this season of patriotic holidays. Or maybe you would like a bright, colorful quilt to use for beach days, picnics, and stargazing all summer long. May we recommend the Summer School Quilt? Watch Jenny construct these fishy blocks in the tutorial below.

When summer gives way to cooler days, children begin to get excited about Halloween, and sewists get started on Halloween quilt patterns. How about making your favorite trick-or-treater a Candy Catcher Bag? It’s cute and practical! And take a look at the Pumpkin Spice Quilt in the tutorial below; the nice thing about this quilt pattern is that it is not strictly for Halloween. It will easily stretch through autumn into Thanksgiving!

Remember the turkeys you cut and assembled from construction paper in Kindergarten? We love those colorful turkeys! If you are looking for Thanksgiving quilt patterns, you can’t find anything that evokes traditional Thanksgiving more than the Turkey Trot Quilt pattern. The turkeys on this quilt are reminiscent of those construction paper turkeys–so cute! Jenny shows you how to construct this quilt using a mini-Dresden template in the tutorial below.

Many quilters search for Christmas quilt patterns; therefore, this is our largest category of holiday quilt patterns. Missouri Star offers patterns for Christmas stockings, tree skirts, table toppers, wall hangings, ornaments, Advent calendars, pillows, and quilts. Let’s take a closer look at a few of these. Would you like to make a fun twin size quilt? Check out the All Wrapped Up quilt pattern. Are you looking for Christmas quilt patterns for beginners? Jenny’s tutorial for The Easiest Christmas Table Topper is just what you need. Another easy option is the Hexagon Ornament Table Runner, which includes a free tutorial showing you how to make this pattern as pumpkins and also as ornaments. And we also have several Christmas wall hanging patterns to choose from! You might like our Quilt As You Go Advent Calendar pattern. We love Advent calendars! They serve as decor and also help excited children learn patience as they count down the days until Christmas.

We love holidays at Missouri Star! We want to help you celebrate them with family and friends. Therefore, we will keep working to bring you the best holiday patterns available from talented artists in the quilting community. Check back often to see what’s new!
