Bonnie Sullivan’s company All Through the Night began in 2001 as a penny rug pattern business. Soon she was designing patterns for quilts, cross stitch, and other fiber arts. In 2003 Bonnie began designing quilting fabric for Maywood Studio and is particularly well known for Woolies Flannel.
At Missouri Star, we love Woolies Flannel by Bonnie Sullivan. Woolies Flannel fabric is sumptuously soft and saturated with color. Woolies patterns are tonal and subtle–tweeds, herringbones, stripes, windowpanes, houndstooths, basketweaves, and crosshatches; they add texture but do not detract from the gorgeous color. We offer Woolies Flannel by the yard as well as precuts such as Woolies Flannel Layer Cake and Woolies Flannel Jelly Roll.
Have you watched Jenny’s tutorial on flannel receiving blankets? Imagine this receiving blanket made from Woolies Flannel yardage. These receiving blankets require two fabrics–one for the front and one for the back. How about Crosshatch Teal with Polka Dots Purple? Or maybe you would like Crosshatch Green with Houndstooth Light Blue. Or On Point Black Gray with Stripe Yellow. These are rich, vivid colors that move away from the gender stereotypes of many “baby” fabrics. They are also much better for hiding stains!
You will find Bonnie Sullivan patterns at Missouri Star. We carry several of Bonnie's quilt patterns we think you will like, including patriotic choices that would work well as Quilts of Valor. The Three Cheers collection of Bonnie Sullivan fabric would be a perfect choice for these patriotic quilts.
We also carry Bonnie Sullivan All Through the Night patterns for table runners, framed pictures, Santa dolls, ornaments, and bowl fillers. These patterns express Bonnie’s love of folk art and hand stitchery. If you like to work on small, handmade projects in between quilts, these patterns might be just what you need.
