Quilting Product Description

Easily press your blocks with this high-density 100% felted wool mat. Effectively presses both sides at once, holding the heat. The texture of the wool also stops fabrics from shifting so there is no distortion when pressing. Works with pressing embroidery projects as well as blocking knitted projects by pinning them directly to the mat.

Mat is 1/2" thick

I have a smaller wool mat and I use it at classes and retreats. I gave my larger one to my sister-in-law but found I needed a larger one again for some home projects.

Q: I have have used a wool pressing mat before and it left a horrible plastic like residue on my iron. Has this been an issue with this mat? asked by Julie B.

Q: Do you need a moisture barrier under this mat or can I use it on my sewing table without one? asked by Patricia S.
A: Recommended surfaces for the wool mat include Formica, Corian, stone, and metal (an ironing board). Please use a protective barrier like the No-Stick Applique Sheet TGQ117 between wood or painted surfaces and the Wool Mat. Never place the mat on a rotary cutting mat when pressing. The heat could warp the cutting mat.
