This is a very handy light. When on my sewing desk, I keep it plugged in. But when I needed a small light for outside work, I just unplugged it and used the batteries for the light. The light was bright enough, however, I kept turning it off when trying to hold it by the base, but that is OK because it is meant to sit and not be held. It was a great buy, and I’m buying me another one.
