Stars & Stripes Quilt

I love this quilt pattern! I made it as a Quilt of Valor for my husband who is a Viet Nam Veteran. I changed the design of the stars so that they are 2 shades of Navy blue. I flipped the red & white stripes so that the first stripe at the top is white, making the rows end in red at the bottom. Then, I sewed a 4" wide border around the quilt & bound it with Navy blue. I had it machine quilted at MSQC & they did a beautiful job, as always.

Stars and stripes pattern was very easy to read with clear explanations and directions. Highly recommend. I used a variety of red and a variety of off-white for the stripes and background. The consistency of the same stripes material for red and white was not as rich looking as the variation.

Great Pattern!
