It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at Missouri Star and we are thrilled to begin our exclusive ‘Tis the Season Block of the Month program. Come join us on a journey to make this gorgeous Christmas tree quilt in contemporary colors. Jenny handpicked each pattern to create this unique project made of a variety of pretty quilt blocks. Stitch it up and you’ll be ready when Santa arrives!

Exclusively for Missouri Star, this 7-month long Block of the Month program is traditionally pieced and contains directions and Pallette Picks fabrics for a portion of the quilt in each shipment, including precut 10" squares, by Robert Kaufman Fabrics. Finishing instructions and binding fabrics will be included in the last shipment.

Backing sold separately, 5 3/4 yards needed. We recommend Missouri Star ‘Tis the Season Block of the Month Backing – Contemporary Yardage.

A coordinating Missouri Star thread pack is available separately.

I need a different border!

I am non traditional when it comes to Christmas colors so I was glad to see this in more contemporary colors. Until I got to the borders. Of all the fabrics in the top, the borders fabric is my least favorite. It’s just dull as compared to the rest of the fabrics. The one I decided on is out of stock. I hope it comes in soon.

HELP! TRIPLETS!!

Well, not really triplets, but three QUILTS! I had a weak moment at the beginning of this BOM, and I thought, "Why don't I also do 2 scrappy ones, so that each of my kids get one!" That was such a great idea! A great idea until I had to make 21 blocks in one month! What was I thinking??? But that's not what you wanted for a review...you want my opinion, not a sad-sack Poor Me complaint. So my opinion is that despite a few blocks that were challenging to some of our members, including me, this BOM was WONDERFUL! I enjoyed working on this so much, even though some of the blocks were really difficult! I also loved the camaraderie amongst our FB group! There were so many ideas for alternate blocks! I love that we could be a closed FB group so we could discuss ideas and help one another. Thank you for such an amazing BOM Journey!!

Q: Why did I get a notice that Month 8 would be billed soon? I thought this was a 7 month BOM. The quilt is now complete after Month 7. What would I be paying for for Month 8?? asked by Sari R.

A: Hi! That is an automatic email that is sent out prior to billing. It is not uncommon for you to get this email the month after your final BOM was sent but rest assured you will not be charged. I apologize for the confusion. Happy quilting!

Q: If I make a mistake on a section how can I order more of the same fabric to fix it? asked by Sondra Grover W.

A: Fabric fixes will have to be handled per case. We will have some of the fabrics on the website available for purchase for those "oops" that will happen but unfortunately, not all of them.
