The instruction guide was so helpful. It is a pretty quilt and I was able to use fabric from my stash , so it is a guilt free quilt as well,

Great pattern with 1 flaw
I love the ease of putting this together. It looks very complicated, but is very easy. However, there should be an addition to the pattern. In step 2, it should specify the number of print squares and the corresponding # of background squares to use for the star blocks. In the same way, when starting the 4 patch blocks, the # of print and # of background squares should be specified. Yes, I could figure it out from the final # of each block, but that's doing the math backwards. One way to do this would be after step 1. "After step 1, set aside X number of print and background squares for the star blocks. Set aside X number of print and background squares for the 4 patches." For my 2nd version of this pattern, I'm using Hoffman Bali Crackers "Rainbow Sweets" and enlarging to a king size. That will be a challenge not having guidance for the # of squares to use.

Eye catching
I love this pattern and paired with the Forget me Not charm pack makes very colorful quilt blocks. The only negative is the directions are a little confusing for a beginning quilter. The second and third blocks went together easier than the first block as the pattern directions get more familiar.
