fabric checkerboard

I usually love Misti's videos but this one was difficult to follow. Maybe it was the black fabric she used. The pattern instructions were not very detailed especially with the zippers. I did finish the checkerboard and am pleased with it but almost gave up several times. Looking forward to more interesting patterns. Thank you for inspirations and new ideas. Diane

Cute idea and easy to follow instructions along with helpful how-to video . I made for my 6 yr old granddaughter in her favorite colors purple and aqua. Unfinished wood checkers are available, at Hobby Lobby & Joann, to paint in matching colors.
