Going to use this pattern on my next quilt. Already bought fabric! Love the neutral colors.

Difficult pattern

I found this pattern very confusing. It was being used for a class and even the teacher said it was dense, which is why she didn't assign any homework ahead of time. Sorting the charm squares (2 packs) into matching pieces, and then choosing 4 colors plus background for each block was not obvious in the pattern. I wouldn't have done it, if it were not for the class.

Directions were not easy to follow

I noticed that the directions about cutting for small squares were not clear. I used a different method for the quarter square triangles which results in a more accurate block but overall I am pleased with my result. I have sandwiched a top to be a wall hanging. I was going for accuracy in my piecing and overall am pleased with result. I worked with white and various green fabrics. Everyone has commented how beautiful the top is. I will FMQ IT. OVERALL HAPPY

The pattern was quickly available and appears to have clear instructions . This pattern makes a smaller quilt, 48" square. I may make this one with pastels and give it as a baby blanket.

Ohio Star was the first block I ever did, something like 30- 35 years ago and is still one of m y favourite blocks . This pattern is no exception , please check it out, you won't be disappointed.
