Another way that words can be the main event is when they are arranged to form patterns–the words themselves become the designs on the fabric. Sometimes words are tossed every-which-way on quilt fabric with text. Sometimes words are arranged neatly in rows. Other times text runs both vertically and horizontally in quilt fabric with words. 

Most often designers create words fabric or text blended with corresponding images.
