Toscana fabric by Northcott–designed by Deborah Edwards–is 100% cotton; looks like suede but feels like silk. The Toscana fabric ny Northcott line is designed to capture “the subtle tones and elegant textures of an Italian fresco.” For this reason, some people call it Toscana fresco fabric.


Northcott Toscana fabric is a tonal solid. Using a tonal fabric rather than a true solid adds texture and dimension to your quilt. It is a marvelous option for a blender or a backing fabric. Toscana fabric by Northcott fabric is also a great choice for a quilt pattern that calls for solid fabrics.
