Therm O Web produces a variety of adhesive products designed to make quilting, sewing and embroidery projects easier and more precise. Therm o Web products range from fusible interfacings and adhesives to stabilizers and vinyl. Perhaps the best-known product is Therm O Web Heat n Bond, which comes in a variety of options so that you can choose the Thermoweb product that best suits your project.
Here is a quick guide to common Thermoweb adhesives and their uses: Heat n Bond Fusible interfacing has a heat-sensitive adhesive on one side and are used to stabilize fabrics, add body, and create structure so that you can achieve precise placement of your fabric pieces.
They are available in light (with the lightest-weight option referred to as heat n bond featherlite), medium, and heavy weights to accommodate different fabric weights and project needs. Heat n Bond Iron-On Adhesives come in sheets, rolls or bolts sold by the yard. Most therm o web fusible is white, but you can also purchase black fusible interfacing which is specially designed for batik fabrics.
Therm O Web Vinyl is a clear laminating product that protects fabric and other smooth surfaces. It provides a durable, scuff and water-resistant, UV-rated finish and can be machine-sewn and cleaned with a damp cloth.
Thermoweb also provides a liquid vinyl option that enables you to apply a clear, flexible vinyl layer to fabrics for waterproof projects. To do this, you paint on a thin layer, let it dry, and then iron it to create a smooth, protective finish.
Thermoweb tear-away stabilizer is used for temporary support, then removed. Available by the yard, this stabilizer is perfect for both large and small projects, as it prevents your fabric from shifting and distorting during the quilting or embroidery process.
Therm O Web products offer a wide range of options for creating unique and innovative designs with professional-looking results!
