This pattern uses 2.5 inch strips as well as 2 sizes of squares. Assembly is easily accomplished.

I have made several wall hangings from this pattern. I love that you can pick a theme and have all the baby blocks go with that theme--- University, sports team, teachers jobs (libraian, Kindergarden, English, job theme, etc. and 2 colors or prints for the "legs" of the star.
