Amy Barickman is the founder of Indygo Junction. Amy’s mother was trained as a Home Economics teacher, but she owned a creative arts shop in West Des Moines, Iowa. She taught Amy to sew at a very young age and passed on the entrepreneurial bug. Amy launched her first business designing and selling teddy bears while she was still in high school.
After studying art and design at the University of Kansas, Amy started Indygo Junction–a fabric arts company–to “showcase the talent of leading sewing and craft designers.” Indygo Junction was recently acquired by Prym. Amy is still involved with Indygo Junction, assisting with the brand and working as its Marketing Strategist.
Missouri Star is pleased to carry Indygo Junction apparel patterns. We love the practicality, function, and style of these patterns.
Everyone needs a good apron. There are several apron options among the Indygo Junction Apparel patterns. An excellent unigender choice is the Indygo Junction Crossback Reversible Apron Pattern. This Indygo Junction fabric pattern includes multiple adult sizes as well as sizes for children. It is double-layer, which makes it reversible as well as durable. The apron is easy to put on; it simply slips over your head. Patch pockets may be added if desired. This Indygo Junction apron covers most of the torso and hips–front and back–making it an excellent option for cooking, cleaning, gardening, crafting, and other dirty jobs.
The Bistro Apron is another unigender Indygo Junction Apparel pattern that provides full frontal coverage. This pattern comes in a full range of adult sizes, with optional patch pockets. Denim or canvas would be great fabrics to use for this apron. This apron is also an easy on–just pull it over your head!
The Indygo Junction Easy-On Apron is a feminine style that provides almost 360° coverage. This is a one-size-fits-most Indygo Junction Apparel pattern that pulls over the head and falls to mid-thigh. If you are the sort of messy cook who gets the sauce all over the front of your shirt, this fun apron might be just what you need! Just opt to make it with a busy print that hides the splatter stains.
The Indygo Junction patterns company does not limit itself to aprons. It also publishes Indygo Apparel patterns, home decor patterns, and practical items. One particularly clever example is the Micro-Safe Hot Holders Pattern–a set of microwaveable fiber bowl covers that work as whole-bowl hot pads.
We hope that you enjoy using Indygo Junction patterns. We enjoy bringing you patterns from Indygo Junction for beautiful and practical items that you can use to enhance the quality of your daily life.
