At Missouri Star, we love our babies—both the human kind AND the furry kind! (On certain days the fur babies give us a lot more cuddles and a lot less sass!) Because we like to stitch projects for our furry friends, we keep plenty of dog & cat fabric and project ideas on hand.

Many quilt patterns work up beautifully with your choices of dog quilt fabric, cat quilt fabric, or–-if you believe in equality of the species–-dog & cat fabric. Missouri Star also offers quilt patterns with pet themes. But you can think beyond quilts! Missouri Star offers patterns for pet beds, doggy bandanas, pillows, and placemats–for pets and people, our cat & dog fabric does it all!

Appliqué is another creative outlet to express your love of your fur babies. The Whole Country Caboodle designs cat appliqué patterns and dog appliqué patterns that could be joined to make a wall hanging or a quilt. Just one appliqué kit could be used to make a pillow. The Whole Country Caboodle provides all of the precut, fusible pieces for one cat applique pattern or one dog applique in a package. You provide the background fabric of your choice.

If you are a fan of a particular dog breed, you may find your favorite among the dog appliqué options available at Missouri Star. Of course, we offer Golden Retrievers, Labs, Scotties, and Westies. But you can also find less common breeds like Sheepdogs, Corgis, Samoyeds, and Wheaten Terriers.

Feline fans–there are appliqué cats for you too! A tiger cat, a ragdoll cat, a tuxedo cat, and a calico cat would be a purr-fect combo for a cat appliqué quilt.
