I love mine- I put sewing kits in eyeglass cases -specific to different projects - so I can stitch on the go. These little macarons magnetically attach inside the lids to keep pins and needles from scattering - the best solution I've found. I don't really know if they actually sharpen the needles but they are great little needle keepers!

Magnet and sharpener
Sometimes my needle/pin will get ‘gummy’ when I’ve used it in appliqué or holding tape for marking. The ‘filling’ of the macaron did a great job in removing the stickiness. Years ago I had a product that worked great but it doesn’t seem to be available. This macaron worked great at holding the needle with the magnet and ‘cleaning’ it in the filling.
