Spooky Stitches & Unforgettable Fun: Missouri Star Halloween Party & Guild Days Recap!
If you joined us at Missouri Star for the Halloween Party this year, then you already know it was spooktacular!
With a whole town ready to celebrate in the spirit of Halloween, quilting, and guild camaraderie, we created memories for a lifetime. Here’s a look back at all the festive, frightful, and fun highlights!
Meet Jack the Ripper… If You Dare!
One of the biggest hits of the night was none other than Jack the Ripper himself! Strolling around town in dark attire with a giant seam ripper in hand, our Jack brought a touch of Halloween mischief to the streets. Guests who braved a selfie with him were rewarded with a free seam ripper — a fitting memento for anyone who knows the quilter’s real nightmare!
The House of Quilter’s Nightmares
And speaking of nightmares, our House of Quilter’s Nightmares was the laugh-out-loud favorite of the night! Each scene featured a different nightmare - from a garage sale selling Nana's handmade quilts, to the Quilt Police being real and inspecting everyone's work, to a getting your hair caught in your sewing project, and more! The chuckles were contagious as quilters bonded over shared "nightmares!"
Author Riel Nason and the Walking Parade
Halloween wouldn’t be complete without something ghostly, and Riel Nason added just that with her charming The Little Ghost Who Was a Quilt. Riel delighted guests with her book signing and even led a whimsical walking parade through town. Quilters brought their Little Ghost quilts and joined Riel in this special event, adding a heartwarming touch to the Halloween festivities.
Costumes, Cupcakes, and Cider
Attendees enjoyed free gourmet Halloween cupcakes and hot apple cider to keep everyone fueled for the fun. It was a sweet way to end the day, with treats for all!
Halloween Deals and Shopping Specials
Of course, we couldn’t resist sharing some spooktacular deals with all our Halloween guests. From seasonal fabrics to must-have quilting tools, our Halloween promotions added to the excitement. Who doesn’t love a little retail therapy to celebrate the holiday?
Guild Days – Quilter’s Delight!
To make it even more special, Halloween also coincided with our Guild Days — an event we host several times a year. Guilds from all around came to celebrate, shop, and connect, adding extra sparkle to the festivities. Guild members arriving in groups were treated to special drawings for Missouri Star gift cards, exclusive discounts, and the chance to sign our special Missouri Star Guild Quilt! It was a memorable addition that celebrated our quilting community’s shared passion and unity.
As the evening wrapped up, we couldn’t help but feel grateful for each and every quilter, guild member, and guest who joined us to make this Halloween at Missouri Star so unforgettable.
Next year’s Missouri Star Halloween Party will be held on October 23 and 24. Make plans now to join us!
Until next time, keep stitching, and happy haunting!
