Learn more about Missy below:
What is your favorite part of the quilting process?
- Putting the squares together. I love seeing them turn into something more!
Who are your favorite fabric designers?
What notion or sewing tool are you most dependent on?
I use my finger pressing tool all the time & a good rotary cutter is a must!
How were you introduced to sewing and quilting?
I have been sewing since I was a child. My grandma first taught me and I would sew on her old singer foot pedal machine, then I also took sewing in high school.
What was the most frustrating sewing project you ever worked on?
A stuffed animal I made in high school, it was a green dragon made from faux fur!
What do you do to find inspiration/encourage your creativity?
I am sewing, or making something almost every day. I find that if I am feeling a creativity block I will go for a walk, or just take a break. Sometimes that's all I need.
What occupation would you like to try if sewing/making wasn’t an option?
I would like to be a coach/mentor.
What fabric have you been hoarding/saving the longest?
I have so much, I wouldn't even know!
Describe your perfect day.
Any day spent with my husband. We love the beach, we love to relax but also having fun on different adventures. It does not matter what we do, we always enjoy being together and can have a good time doing almost anything. We live on a lake, so summer days on the water are days I really enjoy!
