Too Hot To Handle
My husband’s always hot and I’m always cold. I’m sure this is a scenario that many of you can relate to. Our household is in a perpetual battle of sorts and “no-man’s land” is the thermostat. If I had a nickel for every time it gets changed in a day, I’d have like 248 bucks! The point my husband always likes to bring up is one that I’m sure you’ve all heard. “If you’re cold put on a darn jacket ... and snow pants if you have to! I’m hot, I can only undress so much before there’s nothing else I can do ... after all my skin doesn’t come off!” As much as I ignore him, lately I’ve learned to empathize with him, since our air conditioner went on us this week. Lying in bed in the scorching, humid heat of Missouri is a sweaty ordeal. As bad as it is though, we don’t have it as bad as they do over in Death Valley, California. The “Death” part of the name comes from the fact that it is one of the driest and hottest places on earth, holding the world record for the second highest temperature recorded, 134 °F (56.7 °C) at Furnace Creek (the name’s fitting!) back in 1913. So compared to Death Valley, I’ve got it pretty good here in Missouri, even without my beloved A/C. Days like these make me feel that fall can’t come sooner. Although we at MSQC can’t control the weather, we can bring you a little bit of not-too-hot-not-too-cold fall on a hot summer with today’s deal. The deal is one Saltbox Harvest Jelly Roll by Deb Strain for only $22.22 (37% off). Includes 40 2.5”x44” strips of fall fabric.
